The twenty-fifth auction for guarantees of origin
OKTE, a.s. as the organizer of the short-term electricity market (OKTE), would like to inform you about the announcement of the twenty-fifth electronic auction for guarantees of origin (GO) of electricity from renewable energy sources and guarantees of origin of electricity produced by highly efficient cogeneration. The Auction will be held on the May 20th, 2025 from 09:00 to 13:00.
Any entity that holds an account with valid access to the OKTE information system and has also concluded a contract with OKTE on activities related to the issuance and use of GOs and has met the conditions relating to auctions for GOs for electricity - more information here. GOs for electricity, offered by OKTE in the form of an auction, are tied to electricity produced in production devices that received support in the form of FIT, FIP or Investment support within the production period pursuant to Section 8b paragraph (3). Act No. 309/2009 Coll.
With the amendment to the Operating Rules of OKTE, a.s. effective from 1.5.2026, GOs can also be offered for sale at auction by energy producers and suppliers, with OKTE, a.s. appearing as the clearing agent. This change will require the deployment of a more complex order matching algorithm (pay-as-clear), as well as the introduction of financial guarantee.
